DEBORAH J. WHITMAN is a renowned nature photographer, based in Northern California, specializing in travel, landscape, and botanical still life photography.

A California native, Whitman’s love of flowers has resulted in capturing luxuriant images -- rich in color, texture, and intricate form.

Whitman’s style ranges from dramatic close-ups of opening petals to breathtaking vistas along the West Coast. Her photographs capture the stunning landscapes of the California coast -- from sandy beaches to extraordinary views of windswept cliffs.

Whitman’s work has been showcased in numerous publications including magazines, souvenir books, national trades magazines, and newspapers. As a self-taught photographer, with no formal education, Whitman was awarded an Honorable Mention in Sacramento Magazine. The image was then purchased by Sacramento Regional Transit to be displayed at their National convention.
